Since 1987 Gwen has been developing and writing and teaching courses on Horsemanship, Riding, Equine Care & Management, Hoofcare, Training and more recently, Clicker Training and Homeopathy. Her background of over 45 years with horses and expert instruction from Olympic standard instructors combined with over a decade of active 4-H Leader teaching hundreds of children about horses lends an unparalleled excellence to PENZANCE'S Educational opportunities. Gwen's years of independent studies of such Horsemanship Masters including John Lyons, Bill Dorrance, Klaus Ferdinand Hempflinger, Linda Tellington-Jones, Sally Swift, as well as German and French Masters coupled with practical clinical and workshop experiences add the unique flavor to her teachings that encourage independent thinking and can't be found elsewhere.
More than anything and anyone, learning to 'climb inside the horse's heart and mind' is a theme that resounds throughout Gwen's teachings. Horses have much to teach humans. If we listen. Believing that horses are pretty much 'humans in fur suits', she teaches and guides relationship development as well as the 'methodology' of horsemanship.
