What Is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a non-toxic system of medicine used to treat illness and relieve discomfort of a wide variety of health conditions. It is practiced by licensed physicians, veterinarians and other qualified prescribers in many regions of the world, including Europe, Asia, the U.K., and the U.S. Information on the use of several hundred remedies has been collected for nearly two centuries by homeopathic practitioners, through research studies known as “provings,” as well as documented clinical cases and recent scientific trials.

Homeopathy is based on the Law of Similars. That means that a substance, when applied to a healthy individual in original, full strength will produce symptoms for which the diluted remedy is given to cure the same symptoms.  For instance, an onion produces red and watery eyes, runny nose, coughing and irritated throat. With Homeopathy, a person or animal which exhibits these same symptoms would receive healing treatment from Allium cepa, a Homeopathic remedy made of highly diluted and potentized red onion.
